1. Who may use the I-Land Classified PhotoAds site?

The I-Land Classified PhotoAds site is a free service intended for the use of I-Land's customers.  Ads submitted may be viewed by users of other services locally and worldwide. (Return to Questions)

2. What are the "rules" for posting ads to the I-Land Classified PhotoAds?

Rules for posting to the I-Land Classified PhotoAds are fairly straight-forward: 

This site is not intended for commercial postings. Limit your ads to the one-time sale of personal items.  Home business advertisements or the sale of "information" is not allowed.

Do not post an ad multiple times or to multiple or inappropriate categories.

I-Land's Acceptable Use Policy applies to the I-Land Classified PhotoAds site and will be enforced.  Any posting of "adult" or otherwise inappropriate images or text may result in immediate termination of service.

I-Land reserves the right to remove any ad at any time without notice or explanation. (Return to Questions)

3. Is there a charge to post ads to the I-Land Classified PhotoAds?

No.  Ads that are posted per the "rules" above and per our Acceptable Use Policy (available from our home page) may be posted at no charge. (Return to Questions)

4. Why should I post my ad on this free classified system?

Anyone anywhere may view an ad placed in the I-Land Classified PhotoAds site, but we expect most of the traffic to come from West-Central Missouri, meaning your ad will be seen by others who are close enough to deal with you directly.  It's a perfect fit for both small items and those too big to economically ship to a buyer across the country. 5. Can I-Land's tech support staff help me place, update, or view an ad?

No.  I-Land provides this free service for our customers, but our technical support department is not designed or equipped to provide this support.  Their task is to provide connection support to our dialup customers (including making the connection, sending and receiving email, and accessing the World Wide Web). 6. I forgot the password for the ad I posted.  What do I do?

We do not have access to your password, so can not retrieve it for you.  If you've placed an ad, it will expire after one month. (Return to Questions)

7. How long does my ad run?

Ads posted on the I-Land Classified PhotoAds system run for one month (30 days), and can be renewed two times. (Return to Questions)

8. Can I renew my ad?

Yes.  An ad may be renewed twice, providing a maximum of three months of run time. (Return to Questions)

9. Can I change my ad?

Yes.  When you place your ad, you will receive a password.  You must have that password in order to change your ad.  With the password and your ad number, you can make as many changes as necessary at your convenience. (Return to Questions)

10. Can I cancel my ad?

Yes.  Again, you will receive a password when you place the ad.  You must have that password in order to cancel or otherwise change the ad.  (Return to Questions)

11. Can I include a picture of the item I want to sell?

Yes.  After entering the information about your ad, you will be asked if you'd like to include a picture.  If you have a photo taken with a digital camera, a scanned image, or otherwise have access to a digital image of the product you are selling, you may include it at that time.  I-Land Classified PhotoAds accepts images of up to 350x250 pixels (width x height) and 33000 bytes. 12. Can I include a link to my website to provide more item info?

Yes.  You can specify your web site address as you create the ad. (Return to Questions)

13. An item I bought doesn't work as promised.  Can you help?

No.  I-Land provides this free "value-added" service to our customers, but in no way warrants the quality or of condition of items bought or sold.  Take the same measures that you would when purchasing any used item. (Return to Questions)

14. I sold an item, and the buyer's check bounced.  Can you help?

No.  If you sell an item via I-Land Classified PhotoAds site, treat that just as any other personal sale.  If you do not know the buyer and do not feel comfortable taking a personal check, ask for cash.  You may set the terms of your sale. (Return to Questions)
